The insanity

This morning I had the pleasure of experiencing what has to be the most caotic moment in any school history! It was plant sales. Where our whole school and church parking lot is transformed into a giant greenhouse. Today also turned out to be the coldest day of spring so far with a chance of rain all day. But 2 large trucks came and we had to unload the plants in the pouring rain. Then they are sorted and seperated into pre order sales and the sales for the general public. The whole church has plants and everything layed out. Chaos is all I have to say!

Fire? Where??

A fire alarm...
tells you there is harm
and when it beeps
it wakes you from your sleep
and if you should
awake from your dreams
remember to give
thanks that you live

Hurray for scary people

Scary people are all around you...
If you don't believe me just open your eyes and pay attention the next time you walk with a large crowd of people.
My favorite time to do this is around train stations.
For instance on Sunday my friend Kate and I decided to go downtown. On the way back we had to wait for the train.
Well... have you ever heard of the Red hat society? We heard all about it from these crazy ladies wear red and pink hats. Now mind you some of these hats were tolerable. However, there were a few in particular that should never have been worn out in public. Tons of fruf, bows, flowers, and netting adorned these well not so spectacular hats.
Yeah for red hats I guess...

And time goes on...

Have you ever thought about the possibility of time stopping. I believe there was a great song written in the 90's about that. But time unfortunately does not stop but keeps on going continuously...forever...until one day our existance ceases. And don't forget that the love you had today, the conversation you had, the vacation you just returned from will never happen again or ever be the same. And time goes on...

Ahh.....

Ahh... it is finally spring time.
The wonderful world of cute skirts, short sleeved shirts, and oh yes the sandals, flip-flops, and cute shoes!
Normally I love this time of year when I get a chance to put on my sandals and my feet can be free to move about. But this year it is a different story. And you may say chicago isn' t that cold. And no it isn't however, my school has this policy where teachers and students can not wear shoes without a back or strap of some sort.
Well, you tell me what cute sandal has a back strap not many, and well when you are on a tight budget to begin with not many at all!
Besides it is the point of the whole matter... I am an adult and students need to look forward to being an adult for some reason. I believe it should be because of dress code!

So ahh...

It's always something isn't it?

I have often wondered why my life is lived by that phrase to the T?

I think that maybe the sick part of me enjoys living from one crisis to the next. Or maybe just maybe I am one of those people who just seem to attrack drama and insanity.

Well who knows but for now I would be perfectly happy with a normal boring life without drama, trauma, and heart ache.

For the Love

For the love of children you will listen to their complaining, wipe noses, tie shoes
For the love of puppies you will let them slobber all over your face
For the love of people we will travel hundreds of miles to rebuild a hurricane destroyed area
For the love of your life what will you sacrifice?
